a nice stay at a historic place

i enjoyed the spacious suite located on the top floor the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe space i also liked the recent refurbishment which was done to a high standard with tasteful decor throughout i liked the wonderful views of the garden from my room. i found the breakfast choice to be good and the location to be excellent overall it was a positive experience. The setting of this hotel is beautiful indeed.

during my stay, i did notice that the pool room seemed minimally equipped with several broken cues and missing balls it's a minor point, but some updating could improve the experience.

Underwhelming stay, some issues noticed

musty smellroad noise

The room had a noticeable musty smell, which wasn't inviting. We loved the pool. but the view was amazing! the promised high-speed internet was spotty at best. The staff seemed overwhelmed. During breakfast, several items were missing from the buffet, and it took a long time for them to be replenished. Finally, the noise from the nearby road was louder than expected, and it interrupted sleep.
